Parts of Russian-occupied Ukraine are experiencing mass power cuts tonight after what Kremlin-backed security services there are calling “a massive drone attack”.
Balitsky Evgeniy, the Governor of the Russian-occupied Zaporizhia region, told his followers on Telegram on Wednesday evening:
“A massive terrorist attack by enemy UAVs on populated areas of the Zaporizhia region is being recorded.
“At least five explosions were recorded over Melitopol, and an attempt was made to attack an electrical substation.
“Part of Melitopol, Primorsk, Energodar, and Akimovka are temporarily without power supply.
Emergency crews will begin restoration work after the situation stabilizes.”
The news comes days after Ukraine’s Operation Spider Web caused mass damage on Russia’s strategic bomber arsenal, and hot on the heels of a special forces attack on the much hated Kerch Bridge in Crimea.
THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS STORY AND IS BEING CONSTANTLY UPDATED.
