Fresno serial rapist learns his fate for heinous attacks on five women and two kids

A serial rapist in Fresno County has been sentenced to 46 years for sexually assaulting five women and two minors –– including his own daughters.

Cesar Flores, 57, will now be registered as a sex offender for life in the United States.

Judge James Kelly in Fresno County Superior Court announced his sentence Monday. He was arrested a year ago after a cold case investigation brought back five rape cases into focus that happened between 2016 and 2021.

Flores was booked after investigators used DNA collected from a distant female relative in another state that identified him as a likely suspect in these cases. According to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, Flores didn’t know any of his female victims prior to committing the sex crimes and approached them in public.

“Detectives also learned that two of Flores’ victims were his daughters, who were minors at the time of the assaults,” the Fresno Bee reports.

He was facing 22 counts of felony charges at the time of his arrest, but Flores ended up pleading guilty to only four felonies last month, the ABC News reported. He pleaded guilty to several counts of rape by force and forcible lewd acts upon a child.

Cops said that four of the sickening attacks by the serial predator happened in the city’s west and central hubs, while the fifth incident happened in the county’s rural outskirts.

Flores staked the victims while driving his car and brandished a knife, the Fresno Bee said. According to court records accessed by the news outlet, in one terrifying encounter, a victim narrowly escaped the horror by jumping off his moving vehicle and landing into an irrigation canal.

At the time of his arrest in 2025, Flores’ bail was set at $1.7 million and he was facing 264 years of imprisonment.
