A member of legendary rap group Run-DMC was involved in a car crash with a garbage truck on a busy Los Angeles freeway Friday.
Darryl “DMC” McDaniels appeared uninjured at the scene of the wreck on the 105 Freeway, just east of Vermont Avenue, according to video footage. A black SUV was seen being towed from the scene after the crash.

Separate footage showed McDaniels standing next to the vehicle’s driver’s side with the door open.
McDaniels was riding in the SUV as a passenger and was not driving at the time of the wreck, according to TMZ. He and everyone else in the vehicle are fine, the report said.
A 911 call concerning the two-vehicle crash came in at 11:43 a.m., the California Highway Patrol told the outlet. The scene has since been cleared, police said. The crash slowed traffic on the 105 freeway until the scene could be cleared.
Footage also showed the SUV’s right side badly damaged.
The California Post reached out to McDaniels’ agent for comment.
