Royals have 'no interest' in interacting with Prince Harry or Meghan in official capacity

The Royal Family are said to have “no interest” in interacting with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in an official capacity ever again as their return to public duties is ruled out.

With King Charles and the Princess of Wales taking a break from public duties while they undergo cancer treatment, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were rumoured to be making a possible return to the Firm.

But royal commentator Lady Colin Campbell has ruled this out, telling GBN America that members of the family would not have them back.

“My understanding is, not one of the four participants [King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Kate and Prince William] of whom we’ve been speaking have any interest whatsoever in ever interacting with Harry or Meghan in an official capacity ever again”, she said.

“Even if Charles were inclined and Camilla went along with it to have some form of private rapprochement with Harry, there is no way there will be an official role for Harry or Meghan.

“They understand that would be drinking poison from a chalice that they could well avoid drinking from.”

Despite taking a step back from public duties, the King appeared at the annual Easter Sunday service in Windsor.

Greeting the public during the service, King Charles reportedly told people who were asking how he was doing: “I’m doing my best”. The monarch, who is currently undergoing treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer, revealed his diagnosis last month.

Sunday’s appearance marks his first official royal duty since the shock reveal of his diagnosis on February 5, which came following further tests after his hospital stay in January.

King Charles was joined by his wife, Queen Camilla and various other royals for the annual occasion earlier today.

He appeared in high spirits as he made his way into the service, closely followed by other royals – such as all three of his younger siblings.

The monarch and Queen Camilla stepped out of the state Bentley and turned to wave at the waiting crowds.

King Charles wore his usual suit and tie as he greeted the public after spending the past few weeks undertaking few public-facing duties.
