They went on: “Nicola and Meghan also had a bit of a ‘deep n’ meaningful’ as obviously both women have been positioned in the media as home-wreckers — the women to tear apart their husbands’ families.
“Meghan had a lot of sympathy for her, and said there was shared common ground. They didn’t meet in relation to recent developments and headlines, but it was an honest but very welcome coincidence.”
In a poll conducted by the Express, which ran between 9.45am on May 15 and 12.30pm on May 16, readers were asked whether they believe Meghan and Harry were right to side with Brooklyn and Nicola.
Of the 3,569 people who voted, 3,461 people [97 percent] voted that the couple shouldn’t have reached out to Brooklyn and his wife. In support of the Sussexes’ move, 44 people [one percent] voted that Meghan and Harry made the right decision – with an additional 64 people [two percent] voting that they are unsure whether it was a good or bad move.
Taking to the comment section, one reader commented: “Absolutely not!! Who on earth has dinner with the children of a family who you have fallen out with, or were cut off from because you accused them of selling stories then were told where to go!! Who even does that??…”
Another wrote: “Not a good move by the Harkles. Whatever their intention was, it’s coming across as a slight to David & Victoria. Tut tut.” Describing the move as “predictable”, another wrote: “A predictable and rather petty move, another bridge burned, another family who will have no contact with them in the future.”
It was previously reportedly, before news of Brooklyn and Nicola’s feud, that Harry and Meghan had fallen out with Victoria and David – with the Duke of Sussex having accused Victoria of selling stories to the press about Meghan.
