Royal fans saying the same thing as King Charles breaks silence after cancer diagnosis

Royal Family fans are all saying the same things as King Charles III broke his silence for the first time since receiving his shock cancer diagnosis.

The 75-year-old shared a heartfelt message to Grenada on the 50th anniversary of the Caribbean island’s independence, prompting royal fans to praise him after he apologised that he couldn’t be there with his wife Queen Camilla.

The monarch wrote: “On the occasion of the fiftieth Anniversary of the Independence of Grenada, it gives me great pleasure to send you all my congratulations and warmest good wishes.

“Over these past five decades, I have watched with the deepest admiration as you have built your nation and forged Grenada’s distinct place in the world, and as an essential member of our Commonwealth family.”

After seeing the post on the Royal Family’s official account, many fans began commenting the exact same thing.

Fans took to the post to comment the phase, “long live the King”.

Noting that it was the King’s first online address, one person commented: “Best wishes and speedy recovery… Long live the King.”

Another wrote: “Hope you’re resting! Wishing you good health and peace from the USA!”

A host of other fans also wrote the popular royal phrase, “God save the King”.

On February 5, Buckingham Palace revealed that the King had been diagnosed with “a form of cancer” – although not confirming which type of cancer.

The palace’s statement read: “During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.

His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties.”

At present, the King is taking time away from public duties – although will be carrying out stately duties from home.

Just last month, the monarch was admitted to The London Clinic on January 26 – and was discharged just three days later. The monarch shared that he was being treated for an enlarged prostate – although aides confirmed that his cancer diagnosis is not linked.

Attending a musical evening at Salisbury Cathedral on February 7, Queen Camilla shared an update on her husband.

She said: “Well, he’s doing extremely well under the circumstances, he’s very touched by all the letters and the messages the public have been sending from everywhere – that’s very cheering.”
