King Charles and Princess Kate are officially done with hospital and home resting. While everyone is happy and relieved, the Royal Family will be short-staffed for the next month or so, but royal expert Pauline Maclaran says it’s nothing to be concerned about.
Daily Express US spoke to Ms Maclaran, a professor at Royal Holloway, who says, “I don’t think this is likely to have any long-term effects on the monarchy.”
She adds: “After all, their illnesses are serving to remind people of just how human they are and that good health is something beyond their control.”
“In fact, the short-term effect is that it is making many members of the public more sympathetic towards the monarchy.”

The charities who were looking forward to the royals’ visits may have been disappointed to have to reschedule, but it was most likely short-lived, because before being admitted into hospital, Kate released a statement via Kensington Palace extending her apologies.
The statement read: “The Princess of Wales wishes to apologise to all those concerned for the fact that she has to postpone her upcoming engagements. She looks forward to reinstating as many as possible, as soon as possible.”
