Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been blasted by a Royal Family expert over one particular move they’ve made since stepping down as senior royals in 2020, as he explained the simple reason why the Duke has likely been omitted from a prestigious British Army book.
It will come as a major blow to the Duke of Sussex that, while his elder brother Prince William wrote the foreword for the book which listed 200 notable alumni of Sandhurst, the younger of King Charles’s sons has been omitted from the book entirely – despite having served during two tours of Afghanistan.
Discussing on GB News why Prince Harry had “joined the list of people who have been erased from history from Sandhurst”, royal expert Richard Fitzsimmons said: “Behaviour such as listing the number of individuals you personally killed makes it pretty clear why he’s not in it. Personally, I don’t think he’ll be that surprised.”
In a later segment, while discussing a joke aimed at the Montecito-based royals at the Golden Globes in which they were accused of being “paid to do nothing”, Mr Fitzsimmons added: “Some of us might regrettably agree because most of what Harry did previously… if he and Meghan weren’t trashing the royal family, which has been lucrative I’m afraid for them, what precisely have they done, that is the question that they should be addressing themselves.”
