Royal Family LIVE: Prince Harry and Meghan told to adopt one Wales trait ahead of UK visit

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should show humility and “own up to their mistakes” in order to be more popular with the British public, according to a royal commentator. The latest polling results from YouGov at the beginning of April show that Princess Kate is now the most popular member of the Royal Family, with Prince William in second place and Harry and Meghan almost at the bottom of the pile.

Speaking to TalkTV, The Sun’s royal editor Matt Wilkinson explained that even when William and Kate had experienced negative publicity in the past, such as during their 2022 Caribbean tour, they admitted their missteps and vowed to do better – something the Sussexes could learn from.

He said: “Catherine and William are not without their PR missteps, without their scandals and crises, especially with the photograph [the Mother’s Day picture of Kate which was edited].

“In both occasions, after the tour, William and Catherine came out and said, ‘we did wrong, we’re going to change, do it the Cambridge way (as it was known then)’. They owned up to it. You didn’t get that with Andrew and you don’t reall get that with Meghan and Harry.”

Prince Harry is tipped to be coming back to the UK next month to mark the Invictus Games anniversary in London. It is not yet confirmed if Meghan will be joining him.
