Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been savaged by a royal expert who has criticised the timing of their latest move.
The Duchess of Sussex last night announced her newest venture on Instagram, just hours before Prince William was due to speak at Princess Diana’s Legacy Award event in London.
The new account has been named American Riviera Orchard and the brand is said to focus on home, garden and lifestyle goods.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun: “Nothing is ever accidental. They do it to obviously push the news in their opinion.
“There’s no doubt at all that the Sussexes are making use of the material they have to do a bit of one-upmanship. It’s obvious.”
