Royal Family fans obsessed with Kate Middleton's effortless 'princess shuffle'

Royal Family fans have become obsessed with Princess Kate’s nifty trick when taking photographs. Normally, the Princess of Wales makes headlines for her stunning sense of style, charitable work and appearances, but there’s something else that’s sending fans wild.

A resurfaced video from 2022 shows Kate doing the ‘princess shuffle’. The clip, which was taken during her trip to Denmark, sees the princess posing for pictures with Queen Margrethe and Crown Princess Mary.

But during the snapping of the pictures, something catches the attention of fans.

Kate is seen sliding closer in a heel-toe motion as Queen Margrethe beckons her closer.

Some were left confused by the movement. “This will never not be funny to me,” one commentator wrote. “The Queen literally invited her to come closer. She didn’t need to shuffle in.”

Another wrote, “This is less discreet and less smooth than just taking that tiny step over.” Yet, others were quick to defend her shuffle, with one saying: “It may be that many photos were being taken and she was trying to avoid a pic of her legs separate.”

Another agreed: “I feel like it’s so she doesn’t look weird scooting in one big leap in case they photograph every second.”

The trip marked an official welcome for Kate into Denmark, and it was her first oversees trip since 2019, with a lot of royal travel being canceled due to the pandemic.
