King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain are reportedly on an “ultra-private” holiday with their family in Greece. The Spanish royals, joined by their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia are said to be staying at a lavish residence owned by another European royal couple in the Peloponnese peninsula, which is the mainland’s most southern part, close to Attica, where Athens is.
Spanish HOLA! magazine reported that the royals arrived in Athens last Wednesday and have since travelled to Kranidi, a seaside town in the Peloponnese. The property, owned by the Dutch King Willem-Alexander and his wife Queen Maxima, reportedly boasts a tennis court, a swimming pool, a private beach and an exclusive harbour.
The news comes weeks after the family were holidaying in Majorca, where they reside during the summer months.

“Their vacation in Greece is their real time away from the spotlight, it’s ultra-private and where the royals can truly disconnect.
“They have a warm relationship with the Dutch royals, and have previously stayed at King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima’s Greek abode, so it’s no surprise that they have chosen to travel there again this year.”
Last week, Letizia and her daughters sparked a fan frenzy after they showcased a rare skill during a reception for the local authorities at their summer residence, Marivent Palace.
One of the guests, Ana María Ruiz, president of the Mallorca Deaf Persons Association, shared a video of the royal ladies using sign language.
The video, which was shared on the association’s Facebook group, showed Letizia, Leonor, and Sofia all signing their names to the camera before lifting their hands up for “applause.”
Ana María wrote in a caption accompanying the sweet video: “Yesterday I had the honour of attending the King’s Reception at the Marivent Palace.
“It was a unique moment, even more special by the presence of Princess Leonor and infant Sofia, who attended for the first time.
“As president of the Mallorca Deaf Persons Association, I had the opportunity to teach them some basic signs in sign language.
“I also bumped into sports greats like Rafa Nadal and Rudy Fernández. An unforgettable experience.”
