Ringo Starr leaves fans floored as they say he's 'better' than fellow Beatle

Fans of Ringo Starr have been left in awe as they compared the The Beatles’ drummer to one of his legendary former bandmates.

The 84-year-old – who is still performing hits from his discography, including Yellow Submarine and Octopus’s Garden – has been touring the US, leaving audiences stunned by his impressive vocals.

Starr, who released the country album ‘Look Up’ earlier this year and performed at The Grand Ole Opry, continues to delight music lovers with his live shows.

A TikTok post showcasing his recent tour has led to an outpouring of praise for the former Beatles member.

One user commented: “He sounds incredible! Much better than Paul at this point, but, to be fair, he had less lead vocals and didn’t scream as much as Paul!”

Another added: “A true legend.” However, it was Starr’s stage presence that left fans particularly impressed. One user remarked: “He’s still got it.” Another added: “He sounds incredible, oh my God.”

This isn’t the first time Starr has thrilled fans across the US, with gig-goers consistently lauding Starr for his energetic performances.

Footage of Starr and his band performing last year was shared on X, leaving concert attendees reminiscing about their encounters with Ringo.

One user recalled: “I caught him and the All-Starr Band in November 2023, and he was absolutely fantastic.

“One of the best shows I’ve ever seen (I mean, Edgar Winter! Come on!) and that’s saying something as I’ve seen a lot. I regret not making the effort to see him in earlier years.”

Another added: “Ringo Starr at 84 is unbelievable. I love that he and Paul McCartney are still out there touring, performing and rocking and rolling. I’m happy for them, but it makes me miss John Lennon and George Harrison.”

His band, with Starr at the helm, remains on tour. A setlist for their performance on June 17 can be found below.

Starr’s on-stage brilliance comes as he commented on his son, Zak Starkey, being sacked by fellow legendary rockers The Who. Starkey was set to play with the Roger Daltrey-fronted group on the band’s farewell tour of the US, but was fired, re-hired, and fired again before the gigs kicked off.

According to Starkey, Starr dubbed Daltrey a “little man” and had little interest in the My Generation superstars.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Starkey claimed: “I’m very proud of him standing up for me. He said, ‘I’ve never liked the way that little man runs that band.'”
