Human remains found at a Texas home belong to a six-year-old boy who investigators believe was murdered by his death-obsessed, abusive mother, authorities said.

The decaying corpse discovered Thursday behind home in Everman, a suburb of Dallas, has been identified as Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez, the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office announced Friday.

Noel was last seen alive, although malnourished, just after the October 2022 birth of his twin siblings.

Authorities conducted a welfare check on the boy in March 2023, during which they said his mother Cindy Rodriguez-Singh falsely claimed he was staying in Mexico with his biological father or had been sold at a local market.

The allegedly twisted mother fled to India with her husband and six other children just hours later – landing herself on the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted List.

Investigators believe her husband stole $10,000 and dumped a human body wrapped in a carpet before they left.

By Oct. 2023, Rodriquez-Singh was charged with capital murder in Tarrant County in October 2023, but it took nearly two years for authorities to track her down and extradite her from India.

“Here at the district attorney’s office, we will continue to seek justice for Noel. We owe that to him and to the citizens of Tarrant County,” said DA Phil Sorrells.

Detectives previously alleged Rodriguez-Singh believed her special needs son Noel was “evil” and “possessed” by a demon.

She allegedly used the bizarre claim as justification to abuse and neglect the child, authorities said.

Noel was born prematurely and had multiple developmental delays. He lived in squalor with his mother and some of his siblings in the home where his body was found.

Inside the rundown shack, police found an altar for the Mexican folk deity “Santa Muerte,” a personification of death commonly linked with drug cartels.

Sorrells said Rodriguez-Singh will stand trial, despite being deemed incompetent in April.

“The report further said they believe that in the foreseeable future, she will regain competency,” Sorrels explained. “So, she will stand trial for this.”
