Red Bull issue statement hitting back at comments from McLaren chief Zak Brown

Red Bull have released a statement denying the claims made by Zak Brown on Friday ahead of the Miami Grand Prix.

The McLaren Racing CEO suggested that he had received many CVs from employees of the reigning champions and predicted a mass exodus following the confirmation of star aerodynamicist Adrian Newey’s departure.

Despite losing the greatest engineering mind in F1 history, Red Bull remain confident that their dominance will persist and that key figures will not follow the 65-year-old out of the door at Milton Keynes.

As revealed by Sky Sports F1 ahead of qualifying on Saturday, a Red Bull spokesperson said: “In the past few months, all of our technical leadership team have signed long-term contracts committing to Red Bull Racing.

“So we’re not sure what CVs Zak is referring to. We don’t foresee any significant loss and certainly not the domino effect that Zak is hoping for.”
