Raiders hero Cody White returns to practice squad after 2-touchdown performance against Chargers

Less than 24 hours after Cody White had two touchdowns for the Las Vegas Raiders, he was back on the practice squad.

According to the league’s transaction wire, White reverted back to the Raiders practice squad Monday. The wide receiver went viral after catching his first touchdown because CBS showed the wrong graphic when he scored.

White entered Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers with one career touchdown.

Head coach Klint Kubiak wasn’t aware of the graphic error made by CBS, but gave White his flowers following the Raiders’ monumental victory over LA.

“Well, shoot. I think that tells you all you need to know about Cody. He has fun at his job, he works really hard at it. People get it wrong sometimes. We don’t care about the graphics, we just care about producing,” Kubiak said of the network’s hilarious error.

Last week, White made his Raiders debut on special teams. The unit is where he’s carved out a role for himself throughout his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks.

Against the Miami Dolphins, White received a game ball for his hustle. Against the Chargers, he caught two touchdowns, including the go-ahead score in the third quarter.

Raiders defensive star Maxx Crosby even gave White a shoutout for his phenomenal performance against the Chargers.

“He comes in with great energy and works his ass off,” Crosby said of White.

“Then he comes in the first game, makes an incredible play on the sideline and then today, has two freakin’ touchdown catches. Big shoutout to him,” Crosby added. “He’s been incredible and he’s been helping us win games. He deserves all the credit.”
