Troy Aikman has made a predication on his broadcast future.

While speaking at Peter King’s book signing for “The Game” in Dallas on Wednesday night, Aikman said “there’s a 50-50 chance” he won’t be on TV next year, per the Dallas News’ Tim Cowlishaw.

The 59-year-old’s contract with ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” expires at the end of the 2026 NFL season and he has not been approached for an extension, unlike Joe Buck — his booth partner of 25 seasons.

Last month, Buck signed a six-year, $108 million contract extension with the network to remain as the play-by-play voice for “MNF.”

With Aikman’s furture uncertain, it sparked an argument between the two ahead of the Bills-Rams game at SoFi Stadium two weeks ago. Per Puck, Aikman called it “the ultimate act of betrayal.”

The former Cowboys quarterback has since often said publicly that be believes his time with the network will come to an end after the Super Bowl, which ESPN/ABC will air.

A potential outside opening for Aikman has now closed as CBS committed to JJ Watt as its top game analyst alongside Jim Nantz, after he took over for Tony Romo following his DUI arrest.

Tom Brady and Cris Collinsworth are also locked in as analysts at Fox and NBC, respectively.

Aikman said he is open to opportunities outside the booth including working with the Cowboys, his former team of 12 years that included three Super Bowl championships.

“(Dallas owner Jerry Jones and I have) been through the highest of highs, we’ve been through some pretty tough moments as well. Our relationship is complicated. I think he would agree with that, but it is one that’s built, I believe, on respect,” the Hall of Famer told Mike Fischer last week. “This week, he said some really kind things, which meant a lot to me, quite honestly.

“So, yeah, I would welcome any conversation with Jerry, and quite honestly I don’t know if there would be, or if there ever would be an opportunity. But if Jerry came to me and felt that, in his heart, I could lend some services that would help make them better, I would — I’d have a hard time not taking a good look at that.”

Following Monday’s Eagles-Cowboys game, Jerry Jones admitted that the idea of reuniting with Aikman is “very possible” before adding he is “certainly qualified” for an NFL front office gig.

This past offseason, Aikman even served as a consultant for the Dolphins during their search for a coach and general manager.

However, he does not have a “formal and ongoing agreement” with the team, Front Office Sports reported.

Aikman and Buck will be in the booth at Lumen Field on Monday for a Bears-Seahawks clash.
