Queen Elizabeth: Royal expert dismisses latest rumour on Queen’s responsibility in 2020


Royal expert Neil Sean insisted that despite rumours and speculation, the Queen will not be stepping down at age 95. While on Australia’s today Programme Mr Sean insisted the Queen is determined to reign for as long as possible. He added she will likely reduce some of her duties in 2020 as she continues to age but noted that there are no plans to step down as of yet.

He said: “There is one thing I truly believe about her majesty the Queen, she is a very loyal Queen as it were.

“She did say if you remember all of those years ago, no matter how long or short her life will be she truly believes in the fact that this is her duty.

“Whatever we think about other members of the British Royal Family the Queen really has been an incredible monarch.

“I just don’t see it happening.

“The thing I do see happening is that the Queen will take steps further and further backwards.

“We will see lots of charities taken on by Kate and Meghan and people like that.

“At the Queen’s ripe old age she doesn’t want to be doing so many engagements.

“But last week alone she was incredibly busy.

Ms Arbiter added that Meghan Markle and the other young royals will have to increase their responsibilities as the Queen steps back from her duties due to her age.

The two royal experts also discussed the fact the younger monarchs would have to share the responsibility of duties following the scandal with Prince Andrew.
