Queen Camilla's family 'not at Sandringham' despite widespread reports they would be


Queen Camilla’s family is “not at Sandringham” despite several reports claiming that they would be celebrating Christmas with the Royal Family this year, according to reports. The Christmas Day church service in Sandringham was attended by the King and Queen, accompanied by the Prince and Princess of Wales, along with other members of the royal family uncluding Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Contrary to reports, the King and Queen did not host a larger-than-expected family gathering at Sandringham, and there is no truth to the claim that Camilla’s family joined them, Mail Online reports. The family members of Queen Camilla are not present at Sandringham for Christmas this year.

Following in the footsteps of tradition set by his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, the King has upheld the practice of hosting members of the Royal Family at Sandringham House for Christmas. Last year marked the royals’ return to the Norfolk property, marking their first Christmas there since the onset of the pandemic in 2019.

Hundreds woke up early and queued outside the church gates for a chance to see senior royals up close and personal. In a festive mood, the 75-year-old monarch joyfully waved to well-wishers.

He also engaged in conversations with dog owners as he walked towards St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham on Monday. Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, and Sir Timothy Laurence accompanied him on the stroll.

The Prince and Princess of Wales, their children and other senior royals joined the King and Queen on the Norfolk estate today, although Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will celebrate December 25 stateside at their home in Montecito, California.

Several younger members of the royal family participated in the event, including the teenage children of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Lady Louise, and James, Viscount Severn, who made an appearance. Zara and Mike Tindall also brought two of their children, with nine-year-old Mia Tindall leading her cousin Prince Louis into the church, clasping his hand as they walked.
