When the weather is glorious, many people long to be beside the sea. There’s nothing better than slathering your SPF on, taking a towel and sitting down all day, or playing fun games.
But this can become a little more difficult if the beach nearby is constantly crowded with other tourists, and you can barely move because you might bump into someone.
That’s why when Chelo Abbe found “one of the most pristine beaches” he had ever seen in his life, he had to share it with his followers – especially because it was quiet.
The lack of crowds may be because the unspoiled stretch of coastline is a little tricky to access. Chelo revealed how he climed down a slightly treacherous-looking path to the “completely empty beach”.
However, if you walk along further you will find steps that allow you onto the beach in a much more safe way.
Chelo felt like he was “on another planet” when he was stood above the beach, comparing the craters around him to “Mars”.
He then showed off the drone shots that he’d taken of the beautiful sandy beach and the clear waters.
Hardly any people were on the beach throughout the day, just the lucky few who knew about it.
Then, at the end of the video, he began his descent onto the gorgeous sand.
Chelo wanted to keep the beach “exclusive” and untouched, so he didn’t share the location on TikTok.However, as the coastal spot has won awards, there are plenty of people who know about it.
In the comments, someone quickly pointed out: “The Beautiful Praia da Falesia, Between Albufeira and Vilamoura… my favourite beach.. and it’s 2 hr 42 min (263,7 km) from Lisbon, however those are not access points, it’s dangerous to climb down those.. use the steps provided…”
People on TripAdvisor love it too, with someone penning: “One of the nicest beaches in the world. The landscape with its ‘sand mountains’ is spectacular. The beach is wide and I have never seen it crowded, you can walk for miles…”
Another claimed it was the “best in the world,” writing: “Nicest beach in the world? I think so. Beautiful turquoise waters remain shallow for a considerable distance, overlooked by gorgeous red cliffs and usually bright blue skies. Definitely worth a visit!”
One woman shared: “This is the Best beach of our holiday so far. We wanted to try somewhere new but not a long drive away from Albufeira. There are a number of sunbeds and parasols for hire, but not huge numbers. With most families bringing their own, we did not have an issue.
“The sea is beautiful with the red cliff backdrop, and you can walk out quite a way before having to swim. There are a lot of steps down to the beach, so I’d recommend you buy drinks, etc, at the snack bar at the top when you arrive.
“They do takeaway and eat in pizza, baguettes, salads for lunch, but prepare to queue! Definitely worth a visit”.
