Princess Kate has given a children’s charity a sweet gift this week ahead of the festive season.
TAG Youth, a charity working with children and young people with disabilities in the Richmond and Kingston areas of London, announced on social media that the future Queen, 42, was arranging to send them a Christmas tree for the children to decorate.
The sweet gesture comes as the Princess of Wales is set to return to royal duty this week with a number of important events, including greeting Amir of the State of Qatar on Tuesday.
She will then attend two more events with the Amir, alongside her husband Prince William, before returning later this week to the public stage at her Together At Christmas carol service on Friday. The events will be among the biggest attended by the princess following her cancer diagnosis and chemotherapy this year.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, the charity thanked the Princess of Wales for her tree donation. They wrote: “We are pleased to share that we will be receiving a Christmas Tree from HRH The Princess of Wales.
“We will be taking delivery of the tree in a few days and young people will have the opportunity to help decorate the tree.”
The post was met with plenty of praise from royal fans, who deemed the gesture “lovely and sweet”.
One person commented: “Just wonderful, but not surprising.”
Another said: “What a wonderful, thoughtful gift.”
A third wrote: “What a beautiful thing to do. Enjoy decorating it.”
The donation of the tree also comes within days of Princess Kate penning a letter to guests expected to attend her carol service on Friday.
In the heartfelt letter, the princess focuses on the importance of love, support and kindness, especially over the festive season and during hard times.
This is believed to reflect the theme of the service at Westminster Abbey on Friday, which will be attended by 1,600 guests.
