Princess Kate's 'lengthy' hospital stay sparks concerns after 'very serious' operation

Princess Kate must have undergone a “very serious operation” during her stay in hospital, a royal commentator has claimed.

The Princess of Wales was admitted to The London Clinic nearly two weeks ago for planned abdominal surgery and stayed there until this Monday when she was discharged and safely returned to her home in Windsor to continue her recovery until Easter.

A Kensington Palace spokesperson said on January 30: “The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery. She is making good progress.

“The Prince and Princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided.

“The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world.”

Now a royal expert has commented on Kate’s lengthy stay in hospital and said she is worried about the royal’s health.

Royal biographer Angela Levin told GB News: “Nowadays people don’t keep you in hospital for very long.

“They want you to sit up very quickly and out, and particularly for someone like her who has got lots of staff and she can get nurses and doctors at the flick of a finger.

“Why did she need to spend all that time? It must have been a very serious operation and we hear that she won’t be doing any engagements until after Easter.”

The expert went on to add that the Princess of Wales’s lengthy recovery time is also “worrying” saying: “No one would say she should come back earlier of course, but it is a concern.”

Palace sources refused to specify what kind of surgery Kate had but confirmed it is not cancerous.

Aides claimed that the Princess might decide in the future about whether she’ll speak about her condition.

Levin praised the royal for “not putting a foot wrong” since marrying Prince William in 2011 after “she’s given up a lot and she loves the Royal Family”.

The royal author explained to host Nana Akua: “She’s dutiful and she knows what is expected of her. She does it with a smile and enjoyment.”
