Princess Kate will only meet Prince Harry during his UK visit on one condition

Princess Kate will only meet Prince Harry during his UK visit on one condition, according to one royal expert.

Harry is set to return to the UK next week for a special ceremony to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games in London.

Speaking about a possibility of reconciliation, royal expert Ingrid Seward told the Mirror that a message may have to come from the top for Kate to accept a request to meet with her brother-in-law.

She said: “If the King asks, she will do it, but Charles being the sensitive and understanding soul he is, would be unlikely to ask such a favour from his adored daughter-in-law. The time must be right, and it not right now.”

Discussing his brother, she added that is “unlikely” that Prince William will want to meet with Harry. She added: “William has enough going on and doesn’t need the stress. But he might realise Harry will want to see Kate after her cancer diagnosis as they were once so close.

“It remains to be seen if Kate is willing and able to face up to it. Does she have the energy to begin to try and heal the rift between the brothers or will she prefer to remain in the background?”

The monarch has offered his support to his “beloved daughter-in-law” in recent weeks, especially since her cancer diagnosis.

Following her emotional address to the nation on March 22, in which she shared her diagnosis, the King – who was also diagnosed with a form of cancer earlier this year – said that he was “so proud of Catherine for speaking as she did”.

Meghan Markle is not set to join Harry in the UK and will, instead, meet her husband in Nigeria in the days after his trip. The pair confirmed that they would be visiting the African country shortly after Harry makes an appearance in the UK.
