Princess Kate teases special carol concert with George, Charlotte and Louis with new video

Princess Kate surprised royal fans today by releasing a new video of the upcoming broadcast of her annual “Together at Christmas” Carol service at Westminster Abbey which she hosted earlier in December.

The Princess of Wales was joined by her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, her husband Prince William and several other members of the Royal Family.

The service, supported by The Royal Foundation, honoured those who work to support babies, young children and families in communities across the UK.

Linked to Kate’s Shaping Us campaign, the service showcases “the hope of new life and why it is so important to build supportive, nurturing worlds around children and the adults in their lives”.

Now the Royal Foundation took to X, formerly Twitter, to post a new teaser video of the broadcast.

In it, Adam Lambert and Beverley Knight – who sang a special duet on the night – speak about the importance of “Together at Christmas” in a bid to help and recognise those helping young people to flourish.

Freya Ridings, who also participated in the concert, appears in the video, saying: “I think it’s amazing that Her Royal Highness is shedding a light on creativity and empowering little children and people who are raising them.”

The Princess of Wales launched The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood in June 2021.

The Christmas Carol concert will be broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX on Christmas Eve at 7.45pm.

This year’s service featured the Westminster Abbey choir, performing popular carols, alongside musical performances by famous names.

Readings were given by speakers including the Prince of Wales, Micheal Ward, Emma Willis, Roman Kemp, and Jim Broadbent, while a specially commissioned poem written by Joseph Coelho, the Children’s Laureate, will be read by Leonie Elliott.

The event also featured 12 young carers – the youngest of which is just six years old – from the Action for Children Young Carers Aloud choir, who sang carols and Christmas songs upon the guests’ arrival.
