Princess Kate 'rebuffs' Prince William in awkward moment during Christmas special

The Princess of Wales appeared to “rebuff” Prince William’s attempt at affection during the BBC’s special ‘A Berry Royal Christmas’. The show, which was hosted by TV personality Mary Berry, showed William trying to put his hand on his wife’s shoulder.

However, Princess Kate appeared to brush off William’s meaningful affection with a shrug of her shoulders.

On the show, the royal couple were seen making cups of tea and icing cupcakes, with Mary even being invited to visit charities that the couple support.

While wandering through the gardens of RHS Wisley, Princess Kate – clearly a fan – even giddily told Mary that they “made your pizza dough!”

The royal also told Mary of her youngest son’s first word – ‘Mary’.

Princess Kate, who is also mum to Prince George and Princess Charlotte, said it is because her little ones always see her cookbooks in their kitchen at home.

Speaking of her children, Kate revealed that her daughter loves Charlotte potatoes and George is a fan of drawing and football.

William didn’t go without a mention with Kate praising her husband for making a good breakfast and spaghetti bolognese.

On Chrismas Eve, ITV aired Princess Kate’s third annual ‘Royal Carols: Together at Christmas’.

The special, which began in 2021, was filmed at Westminster Abbey earlier this month.

The couple’s youngest son Prince Louis, five, also delighted fans who spotted his face lighting up when he saw legendary actor Jim Broadbent read an extract from The Father Christmas Letters by JRR Tolkien.

Fans took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to discuss the sweet moment, with one fan how “cute” it was. Prince George, 10 and Princess Charlotte, eight, also joined thier little brother to support their mum.
