Prince William's 'second Spare' warning after Prince Harry 'took things out' of book

Prince Harry once claimed that he had enough material to publish a second ‘Spare’ book – with details that would severely damage his older brother, Prince William and his father, King Charles’s reputation.

A year ago the Duke of Sussex published his highly anticipated tell-all memoir, Spare, which emerged as the best-selling book of 2023. In it, Harry made a lot of explosive revelations about the Royal Family, including one claiming he and William once had a physical altercation, tensions between his family and the Waleses and his estranged relationship with his dad King Charles.

The book sent shockwaves across the world, however, no member of the Royal Family has commented on it. But it seems like Harry had more to tell as he once warned he had enough material for another book.

The Duke claimed he purposely left details out of Spare, including anecdotes about his father and brother, as he feared they would never forgive him if he revealed them. According to Harry, the final draft was only half the length of what he had originally put in the manuscript.

After many zoon calls with his ghostwriter, the royal admitted he struggled to decide which details to leave out. He told the Telegraph: “The first draft was different. It was 800 pages, and now it’s down to 400 pages. It could have been two books, put it that way. And the hard bit was taking things out.”

It comes as speculation continues to grow over Meghan Markle releasing her own autobiography. However, experts have warned that doing so could tank her career if not done correctly.

Prince Harry, who now lives in Montecito, California, with his wife Meghan Markle and young children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, added that there are things that happened between himself and elder brother Prince William that he doesn’t “want the world to know”.

The Duke of Sussex claimed that he was certain he’d get “trashed” for anything he included about his family, but insisted that it was impossible to tell his story without their inclusion.
