Prince William's outrageous shade sparks four-word reply after channelling Jack Whitehall

Jack Whitehall has responded to Prince William after the future King “outrageously shaded” the comedian during a surprise school visit in the West Midlands.

It comes after the Prince of Wales shared Princess Charlotte’s favourite joke when he attended St Michael’s Church of England High School in Rowley Regis, Sandwell.

During the visit, the Prince of Wales joined classmates for a segment on their school radio station, where he was asked to share a “dad joke”.

The prince said he was going to “channel Jack Whitehall” by making a “pretty dad-like” joke to a group of schoolchildren.

Taking to X, the comic issued a four-word response: “Rinsed by the future King.”

The 35 year old later took to Instagram and uploaded a video of the comments made by William which left him open-mouthed.

He captioned the post: “An outrageous shading from the future King. #DadJokes #theregoesmyknighthood.”

During his trip to St Michael’s Church of England High School in Rowley Regis, William said: “I am with the gang here talking about male mental health and I’ve been asked to produce a dad joke. I’m trying to channel Jack Whitehall because most of his jokes are pretty dad-like.”

He went on to explain that the joke is Princess Charlotte’s “favourite joke at the moment.”

William continued: “You’re going to have to interact with me, it’s not a joke I can tell straight away.”

Proceeding to tell the joke, the prince said: “Knock knock.” The boys replied: “Who’s there?”

The prince then said: “Interrupting cow.”

Before the boys had a chance to reply, “Interrupting cow who?”, William loudly went “Moo!”

Jack’s 3.4 million followers rushed to the comment section as they reacted to the royal’s cheeky dig.

One wrote: “Love Jack Whitehall making the most of getting a name drop from the future king.” A second penned: “Payback at royal variety.”

A third chuckled: “That made my day!”

“William as the opening act for Jack!! Let’s do this,” a fourth quipped.

Prince William visited St Michael’s School on Thursday (April 26) after a student named Freddie Hadley wrote him a letter last year, inviting him to learn about their mental health initiatives.
