Prince William spoke about his youngest son today as he attended a royal engagement with his wife Princess Kate. To mark the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death, the Prince and Princess of Wales visited the National Federation of Women’s Institutes in tribute to the late Queen’s decades-long association with the organisation.
When spending time talking to the members of the organisation, William and Kate were asked about their three children Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven. It was during this conversation when William, 43, was asked by Nina Derrick whether Louis is a “bit of a handful”. William responded that Louis, who is often seen being cheeky at big royal events, is a “very good boy”.
William then addressed a comment about how Louis appears to be a “bit of a character” while George, who is second-in-line to the throne, appears to be more sensible.
The Prince of Wales said that there was “five years between them” and joked that while George behaves in public, “behind closed doors it’s a completely different ball game”.
Today is not the first time the couple have spoken about their children at a royal engagement, with George, Charlotte and Louis often coming up in conversations.
While William and Kate try to ensure their children’s lives away from the royal stage are as private as can possibly be, this does not stop them from giving sweet insights into their children’s lives.
Just last week, the Princess of Wales, 43, revealed that George is the same show size as her.
Speaking to a member of the public on Thursday outside the Natural History Museum following her first royal engagement with Prince William of the autumn, the princess was heard telling a well-wisher: “They (the children) are getting big now! George is already in my shoes.”
The couple also shared various insights into their children’s hobbies over the last few years, especially when it comes to the trio’s love of sport.
