Prince William has been compared to one older male royal relative this week after new pictures of the prince in Scotland were shared on social media.
While the Prince of Wales, 43, is often said to take after his mum the late Princess Diana when it comes to his appearance, it seems that some royal fans have noticed that the future King looks like another older relative too – and it’s not the King.
Taking to X after William’s visit to Scotland on Thursday, which saw the prince learn about loneliness and mental health in rural areas for farmers, royal fans were quick to point out how much William is starting to look like his grandfather Prince Philip when he was younger.
One fan wrote: “William reminds me more and more of Prince Philip! Handsome, strong resilient.”
A second said: “He’s very much like a young Prince Philip.”
A third commented: “That jawline and cheekbones came from Prince Philip for sure.”
It is believed William shared a close bond with Philip, the late Queen’s husband, before Philip’s death in 2021.
Speaking in the BBC documentary Prince Philip: The Royal Family Remembers, William spoke fondly about his grandfather and a prank he used to do at mealtimes which would annoy the late Queen.
William said in the documentary: “Instead of like a mustard pot, we’d have a mustard tube, a squeezy mustard tube. And then he’d squish your hands together to fire the mustard onto the ceiling.”
The future King continued: “He used to get in a lot of trouble from my grandmother for covering most of the places we had lunch and things with mustard on the ceiling.”
As well as fans believing William takes after Philip in the looks department, some people also believe the prince has eyes similar to Princess Diana’s.
One fan wrote on X: “His mother’s blue eyes and the same expression.”
Another said: “He definitely inherited his mother’s.”
