The UK is in for heavy snow in the coming days, according to one online forecaster.
Radar produced by WX Charts shows a band of snow smothering the majority of Wales, excluding the far south west, on February 10.
The snow is also expected to hit areas of northern England, possibly including Manchester and Newcastle, as well as the Scottish Borders and parts of Aberdeenshire.
It is important to note that the Met Office, the UK’s national forecaster, does predict snow early next week, but not in the areas predicted by WX Charts.
According to the Met Office cold wind coming in from Scandinavia “will be accompanied by some light rain and hill snow early next week, mainly in the south of the UK, before drier conditions become established later in the week.”
Despite the Met Office prediction of snowfall in southern Britain, WX Charts radar shows wintery flurries over a much larger area.
On February 11, the radar shows snowfall as far south as Devon. It also suggests snow over Southampton, London, large areas of the Midlands, as well heavy snowfall over Lancashire, Yorkshire, Northumberland, and a dusting over Scotland and Wales.
