Prince William and Princess Kate set up ‘pub quiz team’ with children | Royal | News

Prince William and Princess Kate may be a future King and Queen, but they are also known for being very down-to-earth. This approach is something that the couple show during both royal engagements and in their home life with their three children.

While they may be members of the Royal Family, William and Kate, both 43, are determined to give their children Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, as ordinary an upbringing as possible. This is believed to be one of the reasons they relocated to Windsor – a place where they can do the school runs and live in a home away from royal staff.

It is also believed to be one of the reasons why the family do ordinary activities together, with it now being revealed that William and Kate have set up a pub-quiz team with their two oldest children.

Although it is not known which pub this is at, it is believed to be a local one close to one of the couple’s homes, which could be their Amner Hall house in Sandringham or their cottage in Windsor.

Someone who plays in the pub quiz in another team told The Sun: “The quiz is actually very tricky but also a lot of fun.

“My lips are sealed on whether ‘Team Wales’ has ever won first prize.”

Prince Louis is not believed to be a regular at the quiz with his family, with his age likely to be the reason for this.

These pub quiz visits are believed to be one of the ways in which William and Kate are trying to give their children a slice of what life looks like away from the royal stage.

Other ways they do this are by sending them to a school where they can do the drop off and pick up like other parents, and by getting them to do chores at their Adelaide Cottage home for pocket money.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl once said: “They are far more ordinary than many might imagine – the kids even have to do chores in return for their pocket money.

“It’s about them wanting to have a normal, happy, ordinary family home and lifestyle which, at Adelaide Cottage, they are really achieving.”
