Prince William and Princess Kate didn't use Lilibet's full name in congratulatory post

In contrast, the official Royal Family’s account on X opted to use Lilibet’s full name in their post.

Also posting two days after Lilibet’s birth, the post read: “Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the birth of Lilibet Diana!

“The Queen, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted with the news.”

The post also pointed out that Lilibet was the late Queen’s “11th great-grandchild”.

Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born in California on June 4, 2021.

Unlike Lilibet, Prince Archie – the couple’s first child – was born in the UK and during Meghan’s short stint as a senior royal.

Harry and Meghan had chosen the name for their daughter as an honour to the Duke of Sussex’s beloved grandmother.

Lilibet’s middle name is also a tribute to Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana – a link shared with her cousin Princess Charlotte.
