Pop sensation Peter Andre has dished out advice to the royals following Prince William’s revelation about his youngest son’s drumming antics.
Sharing his son’s surprising new hobby, the Prince of Wales joked last week: “My youngest is learning the drums that’s why I spend my entire life with my fingers in my ears.”
Now, singer, Peter Andre has issued a few words of wisdom in his OK! Magazine column. He wrote: “Prince William has said that his son, Louis, is learning the drums and I love that. Louis the drummer, he could be in the biggest band of all time – you never know!”
He shared his thoughts: “William joked that he always has his fingers in his ears and I think every dad is like that; when kids get into any instrument, we’re encouraging but then realise how loud it is – especially drums.”
The ‘Mysterious Girl’ singer is dad to Amelia, 10, Theo, eight, and eight-month-old Arabella with wife Emily, as well as Junior, 19, and Princess, 17.
He also said the Prince and Princess of Wales might need to “invest in electric drums” to limit the noise of a traditional drum kit.
However, he added: “But aside from noise, he should keep playing – ‘Prince Louis The Drummer’ has a ring to it.”
The doting dad’s daughter has clearly inherited Peter’s musical ability, as he also admitted him and Princess are collaborating on a song together.
Peter added: “We’ve already written a song together, and recorded it. I’ve always said to her, ‘I’ll never push you, whenever you want to do it, if you want to do it, you do it’.”
Last week, Prince William revealed his youngest son is learning the drums, as he met rock stars at the 12th annual Tusk Awards.
The youngest child of the Prince and Princess of Wales is known for his cheeky personality out and about at public royal engagements, so news of his new hobby will come as little surprise to royal fans.
The Prince of Wales, who has been a long-standing supporter of conservation in Africa, has been patron of Tusk since 2005. It is one of the very first organisations he stood by when he started his public life.
On the night where he revealed his son’s new hobby, he met Rolling Stones legend Ronnie Wood, 77, and the lead guitarist from rock band Dire Straits Mark Knopfler OBE, 75, at the Savoy Hotel.
