Prince Harry's telling response when asked if he feels American

Prince Harry posed a very telling one-worded response when asked if he feels American in a past interview.

During a chat with host Will Reeve for Good Morning America, Harry spoke about his life in the US with Meghan Markle and their two children.

The host then asked the former royal if he “feels American”, to which he bluntly replied: “No”.

Following up, Harry – who moved to the US in 2020 – then added: “I don’t know how to feel.”

Will Reeve then asked Harry whether he could consider applying for American citizenship, to which he replied: “I have no idea”.

Harry continued: “I’m here standing next to these guys. The American citizenship is a thought that has crossed my mind, but certainly not something that is a priority for me right now.”

This comes just a few months before Harry recently changed his primary residence from the UK to the US.

The paperwork, which was released last week, was backdated to last year – when he and Meghan were evicted from Frogmore Cottage.

Speaking about Harry’s latest move, royal commentator Sean O’Grady said that it proves as a “further sign that he’s gone to California for good”.

He also added that it a sign of a new chapter for the Sussexes as they continue their move into the world of Hollywood, reports the Mirror.

Meghan and Harry now reside in California with their children – Prince Archie, who turns five next month, and Princess Lilibet, two.
