Prince Harry's 'prudent move' takes him one step closer to returning to Royal Family fold

Prince Harry is said to be one step closer to making amends with his family after “blocking” his wife from writing a tell-all memoir that could throw a reunion into chaos.

The Duke of Sussex further damaged relationships with his family after releasing his memoir Spare in 2023, with Prince William taking the full brunt of the expose.

Rumours have since been circling that the Duchess of Sussex also had plans to release a memoir that would detail her time as a senior member of the Royal Family.

But according to a PR expert, Harry is said to have “put an end to her plans” as he focuses on a possible reunion with his family.

Speaking to the Mirror, Mayah Riaz said: “If it is true that Prince Harry has ‘blocked’ Meghan from writing a memoir, this seems to be a prudent move in their efforts to build bridges with the Royal Family.

“It suggests that Harry intends to avoid further controversy and maintain a more positive relationship with his family.”

Instead of a memoir, Meghan and Harry are said to have reached a compromise and decided she will work on a book about female empowerment.

A source told New magazine the book will focus on her work championing women, instead of “taking fresh swipes at the Royal Family.”

The former actress has a long history of supporting women, with her now-terminated Spotify podcast Archetypes bringing on high profile females to discuss empowerment.

Mayah believes it’s a smart decision. She added: “This compromise allows Meghan to work on a book focused on her work in championing women, rather than one that may potentially criticise or cause friction within the Royal Family. However, this wouldn’t be classed as a memoir.”

However, she added that Meghan writing a memoir “would not be a bad idea”. Mayah explained: “If she was to write a memoir, she would need to speak about her time within the Royal Family. However, it isn’t essential that this is the negative side. It could be the positive experiences she had as well as what she learnt.

“Writing a memoir can be a great way to share personal experiences and perspectives. Meghan’s memoir could be a great way of the public gaining more of an insight into her, her childhood, her early career as well as what she is passionate about – including female empowerment and her philanthropic work.”
