Prince Harry will 'come to regret' snide Princess Kate comment, former royal butler claims

A royal insider has claimed that Prince Harry will regret a snide comment he made to Princess Kate.

Former royal butler Paul Burrell commented on Prince Harry’s subtle dig at the Princess of Wales made during a six-part docuseries on Netflix released in December 2022 by Harry and Meghan Markle, where they shared insights into their life within the Firm.

During one episode, Prince Harry hinted at the temptation within the Royal Family to marry someone who “fits the mould,” with speculations arising that he was referring to his sister-in-law, Duchess Kate.

Burrell cautioned that such critiques may have long-term consequences for Prince Harry, emphasising the importance of being careful when addressing the Royal Family.

Burrell expressed concern: “I think he will come to regret these comments. Meghan and Harry have forgotten their only USP is being royal, so why are they trying to destroy the institution?”

He concluded: “This wasn’t a case of fitting the mould: it’s a case of finding the right person to do the job.”

The tension escalated with the release of Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare, where he disclosed private details about a falling out between Princess Kate and Meghan. Allegations of a disagreement after Meghan commented on Princess Kate having “baby brain” added fuel to the fire.

According to a royal expert, despite efforts to mend the rift after Prince Philip’s funeral, Prince William and Prince Harry had a heated argument over the matter.
