Prince Harry remains silent over royal health scares as he prepares to collect award today

Both Buckingham Palace and a spokesman for the Sussexes have refused to comment on Harry’s silence over Kate and Charles’s health issues.

According to the MailOnline, though, this is due to neither side wishing to inflame already tense relations between the two households.

The silence is the latest in a line of communication breakdowns between the factions, which included a similar episode last year when it was unclear whether Harry and Meghan would attend Charles’s Coronation.

It comes as Harry gears up to collect an Aviation Hall of Fame award in Beverly Hills for being a Living Legend within the industry.

The award has been collected by some of aviation’s biggest names, including the likes of esteemed astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin.

While it is unclear if Harry will attend the bash – which is being hosted by Hollywood legend John Travolta – the Duke of Sussex’s achievements in the field – particularly his two stints on duty in Afghanistan while a member of the British Army – will be honoured.

His work in setting up the Invictus Games Foundation will also be marked.

Harry’s award sparked a backlash with figures within the military coming out to pour scorn on the 39-year-old receiving such a highly acclaimed prize.

However, it appears Travolta himself was a driving force behind Harry’s inclusion due to his “strong emotional link and connection” to the Duke as a result of his friendship with his mother, Princess Diana.

The 69-year-old was one of Harry’s “biggest supporters” and had a strong bond with Diana – who he famously danced with during a White House dinner in 1985.

A source told the Mirror: “Harry’s name was put forward because of his astonishing commitment to helping those in and out of the military, promoting awareness of the triumphs and travails of that life.

“But he stands tall as a philanthropist. Any suggestion of this as a publicity stunt is a disgraceful and offensive suggestion.

“Of course, John was an advocate for Harry and supported his nomination. He has always felt a connection to him, especially because he and Diana enjoyed that moment of pop culture history by dancing at the White House.”
