Prince Harry ‘has no power’ and is ‘outnumbered’ by Meghan and her mother

Prince Harry “has no power” in his marriage with Meghan Markle because she makes the decisions and he is “outnumbered” by his wife and mother-in-law, a royal expert has claimed.

The Duchess of Sussex was a relatively unknown actress when she first met world-famous Harry, then one of Britain’s most powerful figures, before the pair wed in 2018.

The pair spectacularly fell out with the Royal Family, quitting as working members of The Firm in 2020 and starting a new life in California with their children Archie and Lilibet.

But royal expert Angela Levin questioned whether the Duke of Sussex now has the power in the Sussex household since leaving for America – especially now Doria Ragland, Meghan’s mother, has reportedly moved in.

Ms Levin said he has “given in” to the influence of Meghan and Ms Ragland.

“He’s been outnumbered since he met Meghan and met her mother,” said Ms Levin in an interview on GB News.

“He’s given in. He walks behind them. He has no power.

“You don’t feel he’s making decisions. The decisions come from Meghan and maybe Meghan discusses them with her mother, or just tells her mother.”

She also said the support of the Duchess’s mother to help look after the children could help Meghan pursue her career ambitions.

Ms Levin, an award-winning royal biographer, highlighted how Meghan “has been a long time without her new PR people being able to tie up some deal”.

It has been reported that Meghan is keen to land an arrangement with a major fashion brand.

The royal expert added: “She’ll only take a deal where she’s in charge and it’s very important.”

Last year, the Duchess was rumoured to be in talks about a deal with Dior. But in November, it was reported that Meghan “lost out” to Meg Bellamy, who plays Princess Kate in season six of Netflix’s The Crown.

However, according to the fashion house, Meghan was “not in talks” to sign a deal.
