Prince Harry and Meghan's New Years Eve partying antics 'revealed' before they had kids

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to welcome in the new year in California – but their New Year’s Eve looked very different before they had children.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now parents to Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, and now live a much more family oritentated lifestyle. But Harry was known for his love of partying in his younger years, making headlines for some of his antics.

And it appears Meghan also enjoyed taking part in the party lifestyle, with one source recalling their 2017 New Year’s Eve that the couple spent in the French Riviera.

The group is said to have included Prince Albert of Monaco and his wife, Princess Charlene, who has struggled with health issues throughout 2021.

A source claimed at the time: “Harry and Meghan were somewhere very private and very expensive.

“Monte Carlo is party central at this time of year and the word is that the British royals really enjoyed themselves. The fun could well have been laid on by Prince Albert, who is a close friend of Harry’s.

“What’s certain is that they were partying like tycoons. Fun around Monaco is never understated and always costs a fortune!”

Monaco’s royals were quick to downplay the partying, however, with a spokesperson saying: “It must have been private if it was the case, but I don’t know about it at all.”

As part of the trip, the couple took a commercial airliner which was praised by Brits at a time when the use of private jets by the Royal Family was being discussed.

They were accompanied by three bodyguards on the British Airways flight from London to Nice on New Year’s Eve, before partying the night away in Monte Carlo.

While their plans for this New Year’s Eve are unknown, it’s likely the couple will remain in the US having spent Christmas at their Montecito home.
