Prince Harry and Meghan’s narrative is constantly being re-written, says one royal insider.
Daily Express US spoke exclusively to royal reporter Saad Salman, who says the Sussexes refuse to acknowledge how welcoming the Royal Family was to Meghan and it’s because Harry and Meghan are so “heavily involved” in the drama that they aren’t “seeing it from an objective point of view at all.”
Mr Salman remembers when Meghan was “the most popular member” of the Royal Family, saying, “We all loved her, and we took so much joy in how she was working, and how she was dealing with things, and it was kind of a breath of fresh air,” but then it turned out, the feelings were not mutual.
He adds: “And now that we know, behind the scenes, they weren’t really feeling the same thing, it’s kind of very different, but you can kind of see the narrative constantly re-written by both sides.”
He talks about the moment when he felt the shift in tone, saying, “I was there for the Queen’s Jubilee and they were booed outside the cathedral, so that, if you think, only three years before that, millions of people turned out for their wedding, it was such a kind of rapid change and downfall.”

According to the royal reporter, Harry and Meghan’s popularity ratings are “in the negatives,” but he says that’s only a sample of the population, and not to take it as a whole.
He can understand why the public is upset with the Sussexes, saying they “not only abandoned the Royal Family, but they also said a lot of negative things about the UK as a country.”
“That did not sit right with a lot of the British population, because they felt like they did welcome Meghan, and the same thing with the Royal Family, they did their best for Meghan.”
