Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to make more solo engagements next week, as the couple remain focussed on promoting their new “dynamic”, it has been announced.

The Duke of Sussex will head to New York to attend The New York Times DealBook Conference on Wednesday, December 4.

On the same day, the Duchess of Sussex will step out on the opposite side of the coast, in Los Angeles, to attend the 2024 Paley Honors Fall Gala.

Harry and Meghan’s separate outings are in line with the couple’s apparent renewed strategy of promoting their own projects and interests individually rather than jointly.

In New York, the duke will join in the conversation with Andrew Ross Sorkin, while Meghan will award American actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry with The Paley Center’s highest accolade – The Paley Honors Award.

While both the Sussexes were on the hosting committee for Mr Perry, who’s also their friend, only the duchess will attend the awards. Meanwhile, although Harry will be attending the DealBook Conference on his own, Meghan did the same back in 2021.

While both Harry and Meghan were on the hosting committee for their friend Perry, only Meghan will attend the event.

According to People magazine, Harry and Meghan’s new dynamic reflects their commitment that there is always one parent left behind in California to look after their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The separate engagements reflect the couple’s new working dynamic, ensuring one parent remains in California with their children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.

While both Harry and Meghan were on the hosting committee for their friend Tyler Perry’s honour, only the duchess will attend the Los Angeles celebration.

The duke’s New York appearance follows in his wife’s footsteps, as Meghan previously participated in the DealBook Conference in November 2021.

Harry and Meghan’s latest “bicoastal” appearances reflect their new strategy of a “twin-track approach”, according to a friend.

A source told the outlet: “The Duke and Duchess have now hit their stride as individuals — not just as a couple.

“The Duke appears focused on his patronage work, and the Duchess focused on her entrepreneurial track.

“But there will be joint efforts around those cause-driven areas of work.”

They concluded: “What we are seeing is a functional and healthy relationship with two working partners, not the contrary.”
