In contrast, 61 percent [1,196 votes] said they feel as though the couple should not and should remain silent today. Having not voted yes or no, 3.8 percent [74 votes] stating that they are undecided on what the couple should do.
Taking to the comment section, one fan – who clearly voted no – said: “Why would they bother? The words would be hollow and insincere. Let Princess Catherine enjoy her birthday among those that really do care.”
Another wrote: “No! It’ll not be sincere, so don’t bother.”
A third commented: “There is no point in them making or sending any birthday wishes to our Princess of Wales, because, the words would be empty and with no authentic emotions.
