Prince Harry and Meghan 'struggling to compete' as William and Kate's US popularity soars

“Even in America, people are fed up with their constant moaning and want them to do something positive. Just turning up at the occasional charity event or being seen at concerts and baseball games isn’t enough.”

The contrasting fortunes of the royal brothers were further noted when Prince William, 41, was recently voted the most respected political figure in the US according to a Gallup poll.

The Prince of Wales garnered a favorable rating of 59 percent, with the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky following closely at 57 percent.

In stark contrast, Prince Harry, 39, did not secure a spot on the list of the top 15 most respected political figures in America.

During Prince William’s visit to New York in September 2023, royal fans expressed their admiration for the future King, attributing his popularity to qualities such as leadership, optimism, and his commitment to initiatives like Earthshot.

As Americans gathered to catch a glimpse of Prince William, their sentiments echoed a deep appreciation for his character and the positive impact he embodies.

When asked why they liked Prince William, a New Yorker told news outlets: “I think his optimism. I think that Americans like to have that sense of we could be better, we could be doing more and he embodies that.

“He just keeps his head down and gets the job done. So there’s a deep appreciation for that as well.”
