Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's 'rubbish' Christmas card misses one important thing

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s official Christmas card has been slammed as “rubbish” by one critic who was left upset that the royal couple chose not to include their two year old baby, Lillibet, and four year old Archie.

TalkTV host and Reform UK co-deputy leader David Bull said the card screamed “me, me, me”. Speaking on the programme on Monday, he agreed with the American royal expert Kinsey Schofield, who was calling in from Phoenix, Arizona, that the best thing about the royal Christmas cards is that you get to see the children.

Prince Harry has repeatedly spoken of his desire to shield his children from the public eye, saying he wants to protect them from “online harm” – he previously said he was concerned about the way the world was going, where “hatred and harm are somehow normalised”.

The royal expert explained to Bull and his co-host that the pair have “finally released their holiday card, and there was just a lack of enthusiasm when it came to fan reception”. She added: “I think most royal watchers look forward to these cards every year because it’s also a milestone to see how much these beautiful royal babies have grown up”.

She said that “even American media commented on the fact that Harry and Meghan chose not to include Lilli and Archie”, adding people were “curious” to see how they are. Bull seemed to agree, saying it was “me, me, me”, before describing it as “rubbish, if you ask me”.

This comes as Harry and Meghan are expected to celebrate Christmas at home in California. They told E! News that they were “enjoying every moment” of “creating new traditions”.
