Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's popularity soars to highest level yet in bombshell poll

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are more popular than they have been so far this year, as they posted their best approval ratings seen so far in 2023 in the latest round of polling conducted by Redfield & Wilton for Newsweek.

Similar polling was carried out this time last year by the company to coincide with the release of their Netflix documentary series, which lifted the lid on their experiences in the Royal Family.

On December 5, last year, Harry had a net approval rating of plus 38 while Meghan’s was plus 23, with the first part of their series dropping on the streaming service three days later.

Harry’s memoir Spare, which was published in January, saw their approval ratings drop dramatically, leaving the Duke on -7 and the Duchess on -13.

However those figures have now crept back up, in spite of Omid Scobie’s Endgame bringing fresh scandal to the Firm and the Sussexes.

A representative sample of 1,500 Americans were asked for the most recent polling if they viewed Harry and Meghan positively or negatively.

Harry was liked by 45 percent and disliked by 16 percent giving him a net approval rating of plus 29, a 17 point surge from September when he was on plus 12.

Meghan was liked by 38 percent and disliked by 23 percent putting her on plus 15, a swing of 13 points compared to September, when she was on minus 2.
