Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Hollywood comeback 'is working' as popularity rises

A positive glimmer of hope for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appears to be shining through, according to an expert who claims their popularity is on the up.

For the best part of 2024, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been easing their way into the spotlight again with multiple public appearances including Prince Harry’s surprise NFL award appearance, and the Invictus Games ‘One Year to Go’ event held in Vancouver, Canada.

Despite stepping down as senior working royals in 2020, the multiple appearances in a short time frame have convinced a PR guru that the couple is focused on “brand rebuilding”.

Lynn Carratt from Press Box PR told the Mirror: “It sounds as if they are focussed on building their brand in 2024”. The PR expert also believes the couple could be “moving from their Montecito mansion to LA, to be closer to Hollywood”.

Noting that the couple’s popularity “is back on the up” she added: “They have lots of work offers on the table, but the couple is said to be picking quality over quantity”.

Harry and Meghan took part in a three-day stint on the slopes of Whistler in Canada to promote the One Year to Go Winter Invictus Games. Harry founded the Games in 2014 as an opportunity for sick and injured military veterans, who expressed just how much being part of the community means to them.

Hand-in-hand the Sussexes greeted Invictus competitors, including Invictus CEO Scott Moore, with Harry having a go at sit-skiing, whilst his wife took pictures of him trying the winter sports to show her children, Prince Archie, four and Princess Lilibet, two.

Lynn believes the tour was a success: “They have just returned from a successful press tour in Canada to promote next year’s Invictus games and it showed them to be developing their brand in the right way and if this type of activity continues their Brand Sussex will be able to regain their some of their lost popularity. All remains to be seen now is if we see them on the Oscar’s red carpet.”

Prince Harry and Meghan’s last film premiere red carpet was in Jamaica for the Bob Marley biopic ‘One Love’. The pair caused a new royal row as they were snapped next to politicians who are hoping to scrap the monarchy.

They stood next to its Prime Minister Andrew Holness and his wife Juliet who two years ago confronted Prince William and wife Princess Kate during their Caribbean trip telling them the country was ready to “move on”.

Mr Holness shockingly confronted the couple to tell them Jamaica “we are moving on” and intend to live “as an independent, developed, prosperous country”.

The controversial decision to attend the red carpet event came at a difficult time for the Royal Family in the UK amid a series of health challenges.

Commenting on the rocky appearance of the Montecito-based couple, the PR expert exclaimed it was a “faux par on their part”.
