Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's final Netflix project revealed before contract ends

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s upcoming project could be the “final” for Netflix, a PR expert has claimed.

After relinquishing their roles as working royals in 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex secured a lucrative deal with the streaming giant.

Nevertheless, there has been no confirmation regarding the potential extension of their contract with Netflix beyond its current expiration date in 2025.

While the couple achieved considerable success with their debut project, Harry & Meghan, the same level of acclaim was not reached with their subsequent documentary, Heart of Invictus.

Although the Sussexes are reportedly involved in multiple projects for the platform, no release dates or public promotions have been disclosed.

In the previous year, Meghan and Harry’s production company acquired the rights to author Carley Fortune’s book, “Meet Me at the Lake.”

PR expert Lynn Carratt from Press Box stated this could be the couple’s final project for Netflix as the partnership looks to be coming to an end.

Carratt said: “This year, they are producing a film which will stream exclusively on Netflix called Meet Me at the Lake, a film adaptation of the novel by Carley Fortune.

“That could be their final production with Netflix if their contract isn’t renewed.”

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams attributed the decline in opportunities for Meghan and Harry to their past tendency to criticise the Royal Family. The public’s lack of support for ongoing attacks appears to have contributed to this diminishing trend, he said.

Mr Fitzwilliams told GB News: “They have made money by trashing the Royal Family.

“But you can do that for so long and you can only have public support in doing that for so long.”

However, Harry and Meghan were invited to the glitzy premiere of the Paramount film One Love by the company’s CEO last week. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are friends with the family of Brain Robbins, the chief executive of both Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon.
