Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's 2023 'success' revealed as they're urged to do one thing

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have had some successes in 2023, but they were warned to “ditch” their “whining” approach and act more like royals.

Royal commentator Brendan O’Neill claimed the couple’s Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan, which “did okay”, and Harry winning part of his legal trial against the press were two of their highlights across the past year.

But O’Neill noted their Spotify deal “bombed”, while Harry’s book, Spare, “shocked a lot of people” after it revealed “so much” about the private lives of members of the Royal Family and urged the couple to start acting more like royals because the public are “sick and tired” of them.

He told Sky News Australia: “I think people are tired of this whining celebrity couple from California.

“We are going through a cost of living crisis, an energy crisis, there are wars taking place, the last thing we need to hear is this ‘wow it’s me’ act from literal royals who live it up in mansions in California.

“Then came the coup de grace, when trade bible The Hollywood Reporter gave their pronouncement on the Sussexes’ last 12 months, dubbing them some of 2023’s biggest ‘losers’.

“And with that one word, it confirmed one fact: This has been the Sussexes’ very own annus horribilis.”
