Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'missing' from Met Gala – but it may be 'wise move'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were once again missing from tonight’s Met Gala.

While big stars like Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney wowed on the famous red carpet, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were nowhere to be seen.

The royal pair did not get to enjoy this year’s ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion’ them or ‘The Garden of Time’ dress code.

Even though Vogue boss Anna Wintour, who has chaired the event since 1995, is actually a fan of the Suits actress.

It comes after a PR expert claimed that the public are “very tired of her and Harry”, suggesting that Meghan’s absence from the Met Gala is a wise move.

Wintour has previously lavished praise on Meghan in 2019 before her departure from the Royal Family.

In Vogue’s web series, Go Ask Anna, she disclosed: “I read somewhere that there were members of the royal household that were confused and upset that she woke up so early, at 5am.”

“She’s a typical California girl who rises early for yoga and meditation. She also sent a lot of text messages. I mean, what did they expect? That she was going to send messages via pigeon? I think she’s amazing.”

Anna also gave her opinion on the Duchess of Sussex’s wedding dress, stating at the time: “The royal wedding had the whole world watching, and I think that her choice was brilliant. It was sophisticated, it was chic, it was grown up.”
