Prince Harry and Meghan Markle handed 'step by step' guide for huge Hollywood rebrand

The launch of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new website, Sussex.com, initially sparked heated debates but a PR expert has claimed to draw in business successes, the couple needs to “continue their rebranding”.

The Montecito-based couple launched Sussex.com as a “one-stop shop” for their news and activities.

It is thought the Duke and Duchess will continue to use the new site as a platform for personal and official updates, as seen with a notification regarding Meghan Markle’s recent audio collaboration with Lemonada Media.

The PR expert, Lynn Carratt says the Sussexes “will also be on the lookout for new commercial deals.”

As reported in Geo.tv, Lynn gave advice to the couple, stating they need to be seen at the “right events”, associate themselves with “the right brands and charities” and even start to “build bridges” with the Royal Family.

The website provides information on the Sussexes’ current engagements. Soon after the site was launched, it was followed by an announcement that their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, would be using ‘Sussex’ as their surname.

Harry and Meghan broke a 64-year-old tradition and the youngsters are now known as Sussex instead of Mountbatten-Windsor.

The last name, Mountbatten-Windsor, was originally assigned by Queen Elizabeth II’s advisors in 1960 to her male-line descendants.

This decision sparked heated debates, with some royal fans taken aback, leading to claims they’re showing off their connections to royalty and others believing it shows unity.

An insider advised The Times: “The reality behind the new site is very simple – it’s a hub for the work the Sussexes do and it reflects the fact the family have, since the King’s coronation, the same surname for the first time. That’s a big deal for any family. It represents their unification and it’s a proud moment.”

The rebranding comes as Harry is thought to visit London again in May to mark the tenth anniversary of his signature Invictus Games event for wounded soldiers and veterans.

An insider told OK! Magazine: “Harry is very keen for his entire family to join him. It’s important for him that they show a united front and focus on building bridges with the rest of the royal family.

“The move to bring the Invictus Games back to Britain is seen as an opportunity for Harry and he is very keen to take it.

“He is adamant that he wants Meghan and the children to join him, but I think she may be apprehensive and I think she finds being in the UK very uncomfortable.”
